These are various assignments & projects I've written in the past few years. I wrote for the Communigator at the University of Florida & contribute to the newsletter my employer puts out. Below you'll find work I did as student & some just for fun.

The Austinot is an awesome site! They review anything and everything that happens in this great city. Restaurants, events, movie theaters...anything. I've been very lucky to have been able to contribute to this very informative and fun site.





This article is an episode for a fake gameshow I came up with entitiled Whose Job is it Anyways? You will have to read the article to get the premise though. The two guys who win, Matt & Michael, are fellas I work with & interviewed to get some facual data in with this madness.



Feature Article on Florida-based author, Bob Morris

This is a feature written about Bob Morris, who is a mystery writer based out out of FLorida. Like me, he also has roots at the University of Florida. All the interviewing was done over the phone & I read a few of his books as research for the piece.






Two reporters


Methods of reporting the news have drastically changed in the last half century. I interviewed two reporters, one in his twenties & an older gentleman who has been in the business since the 50s. They each described a breaking story & how they went about covering it, the younger gentleman talking of a recent event, and the older reporter recalling a day from his twenties. This piece tells their stories concurrently to juxtapose modern reporting methods with older ones.

Robbie the Hand


A friend of mine suffered a hand injury in a car wreck, which became more or less permanent. I wrote a story from the perspective if the hand, personifying it, and how the injury affected "his" everyday life. Besides the personality of the hand, every event is factual.
