Methods of reporting the news have drastically changed in the last half century. I interviewed two reporters, one in his twenties & an older gentleman who has been in the business since the 50s. They each described a breaking story & how they went about covering it, the younger gentleman talking of a recent event, and the older reporter recalling a day from his twenties. This piece tells their stories concurrently to juxtapose modern reporting methods with older ones.

Robbie the Hand
A friend of mine suffered a hand injury in a car wreck, which became more or less permanent. I wrote a story from the perspective if the hand, personifying it, and how the injury affected "his" everyday life. Besides the personality of the hand, every event is factual.
